Ginger scallion sauce

Ingredients:

Makes 2.5 cups

  • 2 and 1/2 cups of thin scallions (aka shallots)
  • 1/2 cup of fresh ginger
  • 1/4 cup of canola oil
  • 1/2 cup of light soy sauce
  • Salt to taste

Method:

Blend ingredients in either a blender or a food processor. More canola oil may be needed to achieve a smoother consistency.

A blender will give you a smoother sauce like ours at the restaurant.

Ginger scallion sauce is great with fish, steamed chicken and also as a sauce for noodles.
